Making our world a better place starts with us.

You will be amazed how we each can influence the world we live in by starting with our own personal world first.

Children learn more from what you are. Than what you teach.

How can we change the world? Become a role model to family, friends, and children. Maybe another way of putting this rather than considering yourself as a role model who do you want to be a hero too?

So who do you want to be a hero too? Perhaps your children or grandchildren as they are the ones that will help create a better world and pass on the guidance that you gave them.

They will learn more from what you do and become, rather than what you say. With a little knowledge comes understanding. If we each act and take little steps then we can make a difference.

I feel that we need to go back to grass roots as a society before we lose our way. We have been besieged by the commercial world who influence our way of thinking. The greater masses are sleep walking through life caught up in the daily routine of our lives.

Some people live their lives through their computers because thats where their friends live. Childrens values and rules are being learned now through the tv, video games and the social Internet. Prior to the nineties that was a time when kids played outside without fear and built dens and go -carts, got mucky, climbed trees and used their imagination outside of a computer.  

It's not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them succesful human beings.

Commercial food companies confuse us thinking that processed and man-made food is a substitute for real whole food.  

We can see the result of this as in general we become a bloated society with rising incidences of heart disease, Diabetes, cancer and other inflammatory problems that cause health issues. Real whole food is medicine to our bodies while medication is an afterthought and have been the cause of pointless suffering with increasing surveys showing were doing more harm than good to ourselves.

We have lost our way and don’t understand the relationship between the body and simple exercise with effective nourishment. We are bombarded and pulled in all directions and so it becomes easier to accept what is the easier option with fast food or the convenience of the micro-wave way of living or just simply taking a pill without even questioning this.

In some countries health and safety issues stunt human growth and take away what was once called common sense. 

I believe that we can make a difference, follow me as I review options that you can consider for yourself. If an area resonates with you then follow it through and become the model that family, friends and children will want to know.

I believe that most things are possible and this can be best illustrated with this 4 minute video so you can see what can be done when you really want to change. 

The more stationary we are in life, the more likely we are to have health issues and reduce our life spans! We need to move!!!

Do not waste anytime thinking you are stuck in life - you can take control over your life, and change your life, and change your life faster than you think.

If you find something that resonates with you others close to you will notice a change overtime. No need to preach as you will become the role model.

It has been said that our opinions become fixed at the point where we stop thinking.

Health Ask yourself "What is your philosophy on good health'? Is it to sort of hope for the best and it will sort itself out because if something goes wrong then someone will fix it for me? Will they, have you seen the statistics of doctors prescribing the wrong medication and people dying in hospital unnecessarily. Even from thirst as highlighted in the UK!! 

When you are diagnosed (correctly) your try to fix it, it costs you time and shed loads of stress! maybe it could be too late.

The answer is to try and learn up front and make your own choices as prevention is better than cure. Rather than be a part of the crowd of "I dont know and I dont care"

Let’s look at our health habits? Is the type of food you’re eating slowing you down? This is often an overlooked component of energy levels and mental alertness, as any fitness expert will tell you. Food is your medicine and if you eat correctly you will nourish your body to be able to take care of itself. 

But the average person doesn't realize that the fuel they put in their body also impacts mental performance, not just physical appearance. It's possible that you are sacrificing foggy thinking sometimes because of your meal choices.

You are what you eat Every 28 days your skin replaces itself. Your liver 5 months. Your bones 10 years. your body makes these new cells from the food you eat. What you eat literally becomes you.  YOU HAVE A CHOICE IN WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF 

Review some simple changes you could make that could make a difference.

Fitness When was the last time you felt you had that extra energy? What difference would it make if you had more energy? Would your holiday and lifestyle change a little?

We can all attain a healthy level of fitness regardless of our age. Even if we have some physical limitations, there's always something we can do. It's all about creating simple but good habits.

Move your body, feed your brain.

The reason that some of our fitness goals and health targets have not worked for most of us in the past is that we lacked the knowledge or continuity and discipline to follow through.

We may have had our "to do" list of changes we wished to make in the past and then tried to tackle them. Perhaps this list was too long and overwhelming. For some of us, we were expecting instant results or just trying to do too much at once.

The challenge is to work with one thing at a time, one realistic "to do". Once completed, then simply consider another task relative to you.

Take care of your body its the only place you have to live.

How many of us, regardless of our age, feel tired even after a good nights sleep? We feel sleepy after a main meal. We lack energy - we may even get a little overwhelmed and depressed at times. It does not need to be this way.

Exercise is the most potent and under-utilised anti-depressent if I could bottle exercise and put it in a pill I would be worth a fortune! But it's free.

It does not matter where we are now in health and fitness, we can all take small steps in the right direction. Would you like more energy, more vitality? Would you like to make a difference and make a positive impact on those close to you?

Healthy eating and fitness go hand in hand to get real results. The two have to be worked together.

Without a simple fitness program, healthy eating on its own will just produce a smaller version of the same flabby body. There only needs to be only a small change in our lifestyle to begin with, it's then you will start to notice the benefits.

 

 

A good friend of mine had a real health challenge with cancer and the treatments with chemo and radiation had exhausted her. When she contacted me she could barely walk so I suggesting a gradual health and fitness program for her.  We started a daily program to rebuild her immune system this was all done by email every day for a year as Anne lived a couple hundred miles away from me. From being a cancer sufferer and not able to walk for more than 10 minutes without exhausting her self just 12 months later Anne ran in the London marathon.

This will demonstrate no matter how grim life may appear if you work on your attitude and want to change anything is possible. All this as a single mum with two children at school. Now she has moved house and has started a new career. Anne is a real inspiration! 

Remember, it's important to keep an open mind to what may be a different approach to your life style or a new idea, but ALWAYS do your own homework... and combine that with common sense to work out what's best for YOU.
